Finding it difficult to pick up and return? New Courier Service Available

COURIER SERVICE: If it is difficult to pick up or return your costumes outside of our hours, we can provide you with a pre-paid courier bag at the time of booking. For just $4.50 each way (Wellington and Kapiti areas), $6.50 outside of these zones, you can either have your costume sent to you or return your costume to us, or both. We will book and organise this for you. This now means that all you have to do is come and select what you are going to wear and let us worry about the rest. We will refund your BOND by direct debit once we have received your costume back and checked it off.

Please arrange this service when you are booking and paying because we need to provide you with a bag.

CHRISTMAS, NEW YEAR AND THE SEVENS

Another year is nearly over! Time flashes by so quickly. Here we are once again looking forward to our annual holidays. Here is a summary of our hours over the break.

CHRISTMAS HOURS: Cosmic Costume Hire will take a break over the holiday period. We will close up after the last trading Saturday before Christmas, December 22nd and reopen around Wed January 16th. 

NEW YEAR'S EVE:Depending on demand, we will open for a couple of hours on New Years Eve - time to be advised as we get requests. Planning ahead will take the stress out of your event as it may be diffi

cult to order in new stock due to limited availability from our suppliers during that time period.

THE SEVENS: The Sevens are just around the corner. We have access to many packaged costumes but it would be best not to leave ordering to the last moment. We are happy to see if we can source a certain character or theme but if not, this still leaves you plenty of time to find it somewhere else. Also, first in, best dressed! We will still be listing some items on Trade Me during the holiday break but the service may be slower and availability limited due to supplier holidays so it would pay to plan ahead.

Coming Soon! Ultra-Feminine Pin-up, Rockabilly, Steam-punk

We have sourced a gorgeous line of clothing - up to size 28 - that we will shortly have for sale at very reasonable prices. These clothes are inspired by the glamour of times gone by but translate well into everyday clothing as well as for 1950's, burlesque, historical or steam-punk events. They look glamorous even on the fullest-figure. You can pre-order items as soon as you like but please allow 1 to 2 weeks delivery time as we get into the swing of things. We have limited space in our shop so cannot stock the entire range all at once (at least initially). We are also offering a lay-by system for purchases over $70 with a 25% deposit and maximum time limit of 3 weeks. Prices range from $60 for shorter skirts and tops to $60-$90 for dresses and $130 for the long ruffle skirts plus postage. All prices are quoted in New Zealand dollars but we can ship overseas. Australians can grab a bargain at the great exchange rate!

Art Deco 1920's Cloche Hats For Sale

Classy and classic, these 1920's cloche hats are gorgeous. One size fits most with elastic on the inside to tighten to fit should it be slight too big.

Made out of felt, these are extremely good quality hats and feel lovely to wear.

Great for Art Deco weekend or flapper theme. Would even be lovely for normal everyday wear.
