WAIST

Measure around your natural waistline, being the smallest part.

LOW WAIST

Measure Approximately 2" below the natural waistline or 2 fingers below the navel. This measurement applies to all of our pants and shorts. It is also used for any skirt that sits below the navel.

HIPS

Measure around the fullest part of your hip.

Come to the REOPENING of the Purple House Cafe situated right in front of Cosmic Costume Hire at 9 Epiha Street. Doreen, Andrew and Kevin have taken over and will serve all sorts of treats (you might know Doreen from the Olive Grove Cafe in Waikanae).

Opening Day this Saturday - come and guess how many balloons are in the purple convertible and win a year's worth of free coffee every time you grab something to eat.

Part way through our Spicy Night, we realised, in hindsight, that we should have turned it into a Murder Mystery Night...that would have rounded out the evening just nicely! Next time, that is exactly what we are going to do. With long winter evenings coming up, nothing could be better than having fun with 8 or more friends. We have some games in stock and all you have to do is choose one, book it, and we will let you take the game away to copy and send out the invites. Return the game until you are ready to throw a dinner party with a difference. Hire charge is $15 per game. And if you also book your (full costumes) through us, we will give you and your guests 10% discount!

Just in time for the new movie Burlesque starring Cher and Christina Aguilera, we have just returned from Australia with some gorgeous BURLESQUE corsets, hats and bustles from Leg Avenue's fantastic new range. Larger ladies will be pleased to hear that we specifically purchased a 1x/2x for the voluptuous figure - you will love the corsets that can be pulled in to give a great shape and the one size bustle that can be clipped on at the back. The corsets are longer in the body and hold everything in in just the right places!

We have also brought back some great Rasta Imposta novelty costumes for Mexican parties - Tequila Bottle, Taco and Chilli Pepper. Plus a Strongman, Shark Attack and T-Boner (perfect for the meaty Lady Gaga look) costumes!

We are still at 9 Epiha St but are now located to the rear of the Purple House (follow the path on the left of the building).
